Here they are...

The end of a busy week

It was another busy week for our small family. I can not believe how busy we stay...and there are only 3 of us! :)

Monday I had parent conferences all day at school. Maddie did not have school, so she went to Ms. EJ's house. She was thrilled to go back and see Ms. EJ and all of her sweet friends. We were so blessed to have Ms. EJ care for, love and teach Maddie for 5 years! Maybe she will get to have another baby from our family...Well, not from "our" family exactly-but from Michael and Laura's soon to be growing family!
After Royce and I got off work, we took Maddie to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Maddie LOVED it!! We went to dinner at Newk's and got to see our wonderful friends the Flora's.

Tuesday was back to school for Maddie and I. Dance was cancelled so we were able to go home and rest!!

Wednesday was a very special day for Royce and I. We had our very first parent teacher conference! Maddie has a wonderful Kindergarten teacher who had great things to say about our sweet girl. She assured us that our little chatty-kathy is not at all chatty at school! We were surprised-She never seems to stop talking at home!

Thursday night was sooo fun!! I went with Corrie, Elizabeth, and Laura to the New Kids on the Block concert!! We had a blast! It was so fun to be able to relax and have fun with friends! Maddie enjoys listening to New Kids with me and was sad when I told her she was not going to the concert with us! I will post some pics soon!

Wonderful Family Weekend

Friday night started out with dinner with my parents. This is where they presented Maddie with a perfect Fall gift...a pumpkin. After dinner, we went to Target. Royce wanted to buy the Ironman movie. (It was surprisingly pretty good!) We also found a pumpkin carving kit that gives instructions on how to carve Ariel The Little Mermaid on the pumpkin. More on that later...

Saturday we met Jennifer, Nicole, and the kids at the Woodlands Mall to go to the Museum of Natural Science. Maddie, Alexa, and Allie had a lot of fun!! The good news is I got a new camera, the bad news is I forgot to bring it with me! Then we went to Jennifer and Jake's house for a good old fashioned taco fry! Sounds crazy, but it was delicious!

Kaylee's Birthday Party Sunday we went to Kaylee's birthday party at Cypress Academy. You can always count on Cypress Academy to be fun and wear the kids out!! When we got home, Royce and Maddie carved her pumpkin. Maddie did not want to touch the "guts" of the pumpkin. Well, being the girly-girl that she is, when Royce stuck her hand in the pumpkin she came in crying!! Oh the drama!!

Another fun weekend comes to an end and another busy school week begins!

Crazy Frogs, Fall, School, and Greece

From reading the title, you can probably tell we have a lot going on right now.

Maddie and her hip-hop dance company just finished learning their Crazy Frogs dance. It is VERY cute and quite sassy! The other moms and I are busy making their rubbermaid container and 2 trampolines look like ponds. Being the mom of a dancer is so fun! :)

Tomorrow is the 1st day of October! I love this time of year and am enjoying decorating my house! I keep finding cute stuff, but I am running out of places to put it!

Maddie is still loving school! Yesterday she came to my classroom and said, "Mom, I just love Kindergarten so much!" It is still hard for me to believe that my only child is already in Kindergarten!! (Thanks for the baby fix this weekend Jennifer!) I will just love on everyone else's babies and give them back when they cry...not that Noah ever cries!! He is the sweetest baby! Maddie was a really happy baby, but I think Noah is even happier!

Last but not least...my brother Michael and his wife Laura are vacationing in Greece right now!! I am sure that are having a wonderful time and still checking their niece's blog!! (Yeah, right!)

Little kids are so funny!

Well, I have not blogged lately (sorry Michael!).

I do have a funny story that happened today.
Maddie was walking down the hall with her class. They were coming in from playing outside with their 5th grade buddies. The Kindergartners were beaming with joy that they finally got to meet their buddies. On the other hand, I heard a 5th grade boy come in from outside exclaiming, "I am never having kids!"
Maddie walked by my classroom and said hi to me. (I love getting to see her at school. It is so cute!) After she walked by me, a little girl looked at me and said, "Maddie is my best friend!"
I thought that was so cute. When we got home I asked Maddie what that little girl's name was that said she was her best friend. To which Maddie replied, "I don't know."
Oh the beauty of being best friends in Kindergarten.

It's back...

Our power is back on. Hopefully it will last this time! I am waiting to restock my fridge. We are happy to start getting back to normal. I go back to work tomorrow and Maddie will probably be back at school with me on Tuesday. She told me that she misses her friends and her teacher.

We spoke too soon!

It was good while it lasted...
Last night we lost electricity again!
