Thankful
Royce, Maddie and I went to the candlelight service at church tonight. It was beautiful! I love all of the candles and praise through the music!
I could not help but to give thanks to Him for Michael and Laura's expected little girl! We can't wait to add another beautiful sweet girl to this family. Maddie is thrilled to say the least! She said she knew the baby would be a girl! I believe her exact words were "no stinky boys!" What a typical 6 year old girl! We look forward to spending the next 2 days with both of our families!

Ginger has left the building
Maddie woke up 3 times Friday night scared of our elf Ginger. Mom had to call Santa at 2:00 in the morning to tell him not to send Ginger back to our house Saturday morning. Maddie said Ginger could go to another child's house, preferably a girl's house! Maddie decided she did not like Ginger "flying all around our house." Royce agrees that it is a little scary that this little elf is somewhere in your house watching you. :)
I guess we will try this Christmas tradition again next year!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
This is the morning after a painful ear infection! Thank you antibiotics!
Maddie woke up to find that Santa sent an elf to her house to watch her before Christmas. She also gets to tell him what she wants for Christmas! He flies back to the North Pole each night. When she wakes up in the morning, he is always in a different spot. She gets to look for him every morning!
Here is a close up of our sweet elf that Maddie named Ginger!
We decided today would be a good day to go and visit Santa.
Here is our sweet angel in her Christmas finest!
Nothing like a Mom taking pictures of her one and only child at Christmas time in the middle of Nordstrom!
Her is that same sweet angel after the first attempt to take her picture with Santa! Last year was the first year that Maddie has been scared to take her picture with Jolly Old Saint Nick!
Here is the final product! Beautiful, don't you think? She was trying so hard to smile, but was crying at the same time! She did not want to talk to Santa, but she did give him a big hug! She decided she could just tell her elf Ginger what she wanted for Christmas.
After the picture with Santa...happy again!
On the way home, after the big adventure with Santa!!
