In Maddie's Words...

I asked Maddie what she wanted to blog about tonight. This is what she said...

1. I like school. I like my friends at school. I like math and science the best. I got a great report card on Friday.

2. This weekend I went to my friend Riker's birthday party. My Daddy took me to the party. My Papa's birthday was yesterday. We went to the Monument Inn. I heard a big boat's horn. My Mommy and I baked Papa 2 cakes. One of them broke when Mommy tried to flip it over.

3. I am saving my money for a big pink kitchen. Memaw and Papa gave me $25 dollars and Gigi and Rusty gave me $5.

Love Maddie

Baby Harper

It is crazy how you can get to know someone through the blogging world. I have been following Kelly's blog for a few months now. She had trouble with infertility and did eventually get pregnant. It has been fun to watch her prepare for baby Harper. My heart is sad this morning as I read that Harper is in very critical condition. She was born with Pneumonia and needs to be on a heart/lung bypass machine to give her lungs time to heal. If you are not a follower of her blog please check it out and pray for her family. There is a link on the right side of our blog. Please continue to pray for this wonderful family as they go through this very difficult situation.

Recap of Maddie's Greatest Day Ever

These were Maddie's words...

1.Maddie lost her 1st tooth Thursday night. The tooth fairy delivered her money into her tooth pillow...outside on the back door-Due to her fear of having Santa, Elves, The Easter Bunny, or The Tooth Fairy in the house! She was THRILLED to get up for school Friday to show Mrs. Snowden and all of her friends. This started the best day ever!

2. Maddie counted to 100 (110 actually-she likes to correct us!). She received her 100 Club pencil Friday. Her Memaw and Papaw gave her 100 pennies to celebrate. She now thinks she has enough in her piggy bank to buy the $700 Pottery Barn kitchen that Mom and Dad won't buy.

3. Friday was also Spirit Cart day. She loves to buy the stuffed animals with Ault Elementary t-shirts on them.

4. Friday was also the day I was coming to read to her class. All kids love to have their parents come read to their class. I treasure this right now...I know it won't last long!
